Child Psychologist and Paediatric Occupational Therapist Roles

The Opportunity

Ripples Allied Health Consultancy and Synapse OT are looking for a Child Psychologist and a paediatric Occupational Therapist who are experienced in working with children, adolescents and adults with complex presentations (including complex trauma experiences and/or disability support needs) to join our Ripples family. These positions are made for a Registered Psychologist/Clinical Psychologist and an Occupational Therapist with a professional, grounded and attuned approach, and sound clinical experience in evidence-based practices. If this is you, and you are a person who enjoys working within a dynamic team of highly skilled allied health professionals including Psychologists, an Occupational Therapist and an Art Therapist, where you are supported to make a positive difference we would love to hear from you. The practice has strong values in the professional development of students and staff where training and supervision is provided as part of employment. The Salary is offered based on the award rates and reflects your level of experience. These positions are offered as a Part-Time or Full-Time position for a 6-month contract with the view of being made permanent. Hours will vary depending on your availability, clinic space and client need. 1-5 days per week. Saturday availability is highly desirable.

  • Can conduct standardised assessments and skilled in writing therapy reports.

Skills & Qualifications

  • You have Full AHPRA registration

  • Eligible to provide psychological services with Medicare rebates

  • Employed Working with Children’s Check

  • Can use PC laptops, touch type and learn new platforms easily.

  • Excellent written, oral communication, and record keeping skills.

  • Professional, reliable, warm and friendly manner

  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team setting

  • Has a record of connecting with external service providers and care teams

  • Organised and trustworthy

  • You have strong clinical experience in evidence-based interventions with at least 2 years of experience in the trauma or disability sector (familiar with NDIS policies, and safeguarding)

  • Personally driven to meet AHPRA requirements for professional development

  • Active participation in individual and peer supervision

  • Driver’s licence (Advantageous)

  • Workcover approved (Advantageous)

  • Victims Services approved (Advantageous)

  • AHPRA Supervisor Approved (Advantageous)

  • Availability to work weekends (Advantageous)

  • Experience with Halaxy Practice Management Software (Advantageous)

Paediatric Occuptational Therapist Position

Skills & Qualifications

  • Employed Working with Children’s Check

  • Can use computers, touch type and learn new platforms easily.

  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team setting

  • Has a record of connecting with external service providers and care teams

  • Organised and trustworthy

  • You have strong clinical experience in evidence-based interventions with 1-2 years of experience in the paediatric setting

  • Driver’s licence and own car available

  • Experience working in the school setting (advantageous)

  • Experience in the trauma or disability sector (familiar with NDIS policies, and safeguarding) (advantageous)

  • Personally driven to meet AHPRA requirements for professional development

  • Active participation in individual and peer supervision

  • Availability to work weekends (preferred)
